The article aims to analyze the morphological features of inflexible parts of speech (adverb, preposition, conjunction and interjection) identified in the text of the popular novel Sandipa (ms. Rom. 824, dated 1798 and kept at the Russian State Library, Moscow). The forms of word classes are examined in terms of their presence in the oldest Romanian writings belonging mainly to the sixteenth century, but also to subsequent centuries, including the second half of the eighteenth century, the period in which the text announced in the title was written, referring, as the case may be, to the situation of the current literary language.
