It was found on dead branches of unidentified plants in Jiangxi Province, China, and is characterized by its smooth ellipsoid, obclavate, or fusiform 3(–4) distoseptate conidia produced in simple chains of 2. A synopsis of Corynespora species described since 2010 is provided.
