Semantic richness is a multidimensional construct that\udrefers to the extent of variability of information associated\udwith the meaning of a word. The Number of Features (NoF)\udis a dimension of semantic richness that has been shown to\udhave a major influence on lexical and semantic processing.\udSeveral studies have shown that concepts with a higher\udNoF allow faster lexical processing than those with a lower\udNoF. The current study is the first to use a NoF measure\udbased on norms obtained from a sample of Spanish-speaking\udparticipants. The aim was to study the effect of this variable\udin visual word recognition. The sample included 90\udyoung native Spanish-speaking adults. Three tasks were\udadministered that require access to different lexico-semantic\udlevels: lexical decision, concreteness semantic\udcategorization (concrete/abstract), and domain semantic\udcategorization (living/non-living). A semantic richness effect\udwas found in lexical decision and domain semantic categorization\udtasks, with greater effect in the latter task. Results\udare interpreted within the framework of the General Domain\udInteractive Activation model
