In this article we have briefly performed a complex analysis of the departmental normative acts that contain the norms related to the performance of controls concerning respect of legislation during registration of crimes notifications. Also, most current trends in the legal regulation of the interaction of different bodies involved in the process of registration and examination of criminal complaints were highlighted. The study is aimed at determining the mechanisms of this activity by providing concrete practical solutions to problems that may arise in the work of law enforcement officials. Study establishes the perspectives and ways of improving the researched activity by formulating of lex ferenda recommendations.
