The paper is a synthesis of the scientific activity of the Spontaneous Flora and Herbarium Laboratory „Andrei Negru”. A brief history of the laboratory, the results of laboratory researchers from the last decade, as well as data on the GBNI Herbarium are presented. Among the most remarkable achievements of the research team can be listed: elaboration of the list of species of vascular Plants and Fungi for the Red Book of the Republic of Moldova, 3rd edition, the list of species proposed for state protection, the publication of 22 valuable monographs, one species and nine new associations for science and over 50 new species for regional flora.
