The more than thirty years since the French publication of The camera lucida , this article seeks to make a foray considered this last work in the Roland Barthes’life, one of the most important thinkers of the twentieth century, from the preparatory notes for writing this book, found at “Grand Fichier ” Barthes currently deposited in the Bibliothèque National de France (BNF), notably the “pochette ” entitled “Photo”.
