In this article, the topic language and meaning are worked from the perspective of discourse analysis, based on the work of Pêcheux, in France and Eni Orlandi, in Brazil, where we aim to understand the subject of the maintenance process and its relationship with writing. The choice of study on the discourse of language policies from the ENEM is to realize the effects of meaning of a "perfect writing" inscribed on the exam language policy. We emphasize the relevance of this study to the mastery of language, especially for researchers who turn to think about educational policies. The analyzes reflect on national language policy put in writing ENEM the propositions that opens space to think constitutivity the subject institutionalized by a \udwriting imaginary, allowing reflect the imaginary projection of the ideal subject-student (ized) to the essay writing
