The article analyzes the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic COVID-19 and the restrictions imposed on the labor market of the Russian Federation as a whole, as well as on the cultural sphere. Based on open statistics, an analysis of the dynamics of unemployment indicators in the Russian Federation during the pandemic period was carried out. The impact of crisis events on the duration of job search by unemployed people was considered. Features of pandemic influence on culture as one of branches of social sphere are described. A comparative analysis of the number of cultural workers who were simply due to the fault of the employer in 2019 and 2020 was carried out. Proposed a set of measures to implement state support for cultural organizations in order to overcome the negative consequences of the pandemic.
