The main objective of this study was to investigate the effect of low-dose chronic diazepam (DZ) administration and diazepam withdrawal on avoidance behavior in the two-way shock box of rats. Twenty-four rats were selectively divided into three groups (1 mg/kg DZ, 2 mg/kg DZ, control group), all rats were trained to avoid electric shock (0.8 mA) from grids on the floor of the box by passing through the box from one compartment to another. After 5 sessions of training over a seven-day period, chronic drug administration was started. For twenty-eight days, the first group was given 1 mg/kg DZ (DZ1), the second group was given 2 mg/kg DZ (DZ2), and the third group (control group-COUNT group) was given the solution in which the drug was dissolved. L, 7 of all animals, chronic drug administration., 14., 21. and 28. they have been tested in their day. Key Words: Diazepam, Avoidance, Tolerance, Withdrawal, Two-Way Shock Box
