Raphael Bordallo Pinheiro y Alfonso Daniel Rodríguez Castelao son los padres y las cumbres del humor gráfico galaicoportugués por la importancia y la influencia de su obra, no superadas por antecesores ni sucesores. Aunque vivieron en épocas diferentes, mediando cuarenta años entre el nacimiento de uno y otro, observamos en sus vidas y obras algunos paralelismos interesantes.
