A new way of understanding and addressing the Internet was born around 2004. Today, the web that envelops and conquers virtually all of our living environments (relationships, work, leisure, information, politics, etc.) is mainly characterized by the value and prominence it gives to the participation and, therefore, the user becomes the architect and builder of the infinite network that is the Internet. Like every revolution, the social web has produced a major shift in the way we communicate, get informed and interact with other people. This social web has developed a new form of sociability that affects both human interconnections, science of information and personal identity; the latter being today even more contingent and uncertain than before.Una nueva forma de entender y afrontar Internet nació en torno a 2004. Hoy, la web que envuelve y conquista prácticamente la totalidad de nuestros entornos vitales (relaciones personales, trabajo, ocio, información, política, etc.) se caracteriza fundamentalmente por el valor y protagonismo que otorga a la participación y por tanto, al usuario, que se convierte en el arquitecto y constructor de la infinita red que conforma Internet. Como toda revolución, la web social ha producido un giro importante en el modo en que nos comunicamos, nos informamos y nos relacionamos.
