Estrabón, διορθωτής de Homero

Este artículo revisa las citas homéricas presentes en la Geografía de Estrabón en las que se plantea una posible incorrección en la lectura del texto homérico. Estrabón contrasta su propia lectura con la de otros comentaristas, y opera mediante determinados criterios (antigüedad del texto, desconocimiento de los datos por el poeta, etc.) para decidir la posible emendatio. Se concluye que el geógrafo se inclina por la lectura transmitida, así como algunas características de su texto homérico.This paper reviews some Homeric quotations in Strabo’s Geography in which the Geographer poses a possible inaccuracy in the Homeric text. Strabo contrasts his own readings with other ancient authors, operating by certain criteria (text antiquity, lack of data by Homer, etc.), to decide any possible emendatio. It is concluded that the geographer tends to transmit the ancient readings, and fi nally some features of the Homeric text are given
