The level of entrepreneurial activity in Kazakhstan is characterized by highvariability and territorial heterogeneity. A number of regions are able to maintain acertain level of entrepreneurship development for a long time, while in other regions itcan vary greatly. At the same time, growing regions may be located next to the leadingregions, and weak regions near each other. The paper gives an assessment of suchtemporal and spatial effects, which are often ignored when making political decisions. Agroup of regions with the largest agglomerations and favorable economic and geographicallocation, which had high indicators of entrepreneurial activity, was identified: thecity of Almaty, Nur-Sultan, Shymkent and Almaty region, Turkestan region. At the sametime, the level of development of the region, the institutional environment and thestructure of the economy were also taken into account. In addition, state support inbuilding entrepreneurial activity in the region of Kazakhstan was assessed. Throughassessing the entrepreneurial activity of the region of Kazakhstan, in the conclusion ofthe article, several proposals were presented for the development of entrepreneurialactivity in the regions of Kazakhstan.The conducted research makes it possible to fillthe gaps in knowledge about the entrepreneurial activity of the region ofKazakhstan.
