The article considers the main types of processes that lead to corrosion of the chemical composition of raw materials that were obtained in the development of oil and gas fields.The graph shows the influence on corrosion rates of steels with different quantitative ratio of layer and fresh water (salt concentration) and speed of environment motion (oxygen). Corrosion aggressiveness of two-phase environmentally-determined physico-chemical propertiesof the hydrocarbon and water components of the system, their composition, quantitative ratio, the presence of dissolved gases (hydrogen sulfide oxygen carbon dioxide). Corrosion of metals is the spontaneous destruction of metals due to their chemical or electrochemical interaction with the external environment. When a metal is subjected to corrosion, there is not only a loss of its mass, but also a decrease in its mechanical strength, elasticity and other properties. Metal corrosion causes significant damage to the economy. For the conditions of oil and gas production enterprises, metal corrosion of oil equipment and Communications is characterized by a number of features. First of all, it affects the system of underground and surface equipment of wells, oil and water treatment plants, which is huge in terms of metal consumption and affects a wide network of oil pipelines, gas pipelines and water pipelines. Secondly, the corrosion process of all equipment usually occurs in a heterogeneous system, i.e. in the system of two non - mixed liquids: oil - water, gasoline - water, waste water-petroleum products.
