Agro-technological innovations and structural changes in the vegetable growingindustry in the field of greenhouse material preparation. New approaches to thecultivation of vegetable crops are needed to ensure the uniformity of plants, their highsurvival rate and a decrease in post-plant stress, and early fruiting. One suchtechnique is growing closed-root plants in cassettes. The main advantages of such plantsare: evenness, 100% survival rate in the open ground, the possibility of planting plants5-10 days earlier than usual, increased plant viability, suitability for mechanizedplanting, getting a run up to 15-20 days, as well as creating conditions for growing 2-6yields of vegetable crops per unit area.This article discusses the potential of basilfor both nutritional and health benefits. In general, the authors of the article from ascientific point of view, found out the most important properties of basil formankind.
