Dr. John de Bruyn is a Professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Western University. His research focuses on the physics and applications of soft materials including non-Newtonian fluids and granular flow. Dr. de Bruyn teaches undergraduate and graduate level courses in physics. He also supervises graduate students, is a member of the editorial boards of several scientific journals and is an editor of conference proceedings. Jennifer Wang, a member of the WURJ Academic Affairs Committee, had the pleasure of interviewing him to learn more about his research and career.
