The level of socio-economic development of Russia determines its business activity and the possibility of realizing national goals in the medium and long term. When forming forecast scenarios, an important role is played by external and internal factors that help prevent a decline in economic activity or provide incentive measures. The demographic situation in the country is characterized by depopulation of the population, which naturally affects the spatial development of the state and the possibilities of economic growth. One of the measures to support the Government of the Russian Federation is the stimulation of migration policy, which ensures population growth, as well as the attraction of labor resources. This article is the result of a sociological study on the implementation of migration policy in St. Petersburg.
