The article analyzes the documents of the Archive of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus from 1995 to 2009. The characteristics of documents in terms of information content, scientific value and significance are given, which made it possible to study the history of Belarusian-Kazakh relations more deeply and professionally. An analysis of the documents showed that the states supported each other in the international arena and had some problems in the trade and economic sphere. The important role of the Belarusian diaspora was noted.
