The article analyzes the course of entrepreneurial activity in Kazakhstan in 2010-2020 based on statistics, archival data and some information that never been used in scientific circles, identifies trends in the development of entrepreneurship. In discussing the brief history of small and medium business in 2010-2020, it seen that the desire of individuals to make a profit has played a key role in the development of market relations.
