This article examines the philosophical debate about pity and compassion, about truth and lies, ideas about man and his essence, about his purpose in the world, presented in the drama "at the bottom". Considering the cave as a sign of primitiveness, the authors compare it with the cave from the famous dialogue of Plato. The article also discusses the motives of dirt, zoomorphic motives, similarities and differences in the views of Luke and Satine, strategies of Satine behavior, and Its evolution. The article deals with the fact that the play is dominated by social conflict. Here the very social circumstances in which the characters live, and the relations between them, become the ground for the birth of philosophical questions. These questions become the core of the philosophical dispute between the characters.
