Another great difficulty in economic policy, the decline of previous state systems and protracted internal wars, campaigns of conquest were severely affected economic structures. The Seljuk Empire was politically based on the military, and the economy could not be regulated by the army. The solution of social problems, which will become more and more complex, has become relevant. The Seljuk sultans used the best method to get out of the complicated situation and improve the economic situation. Seljuk rulers allocated large sums of money from the treasury for the construction of large canals, ponds and irrigation systems in all settlements. The main roads and bridges were reconstructed. The main trade routes were strictly controlled, the safety of the caravans was ensured, and thousands of caravanserais were built along all the main roads to facilitate their movement.
