In the historical memory of the Kazakh people, the image of historical figures - fair rulers - the khans, heroic batyrs guarding their country from enemies, and wise bias who cared for their people are well preserved. In modern science they are called national, state, political and public figures. Through the centuries, people have kept their memory from generation to generation, and historical memory has become a tool of such an archive. The main historical characters were presented and described in epic poems, historical legends, legends, making up a set of names and generations of prominent personalities of the legendary country of the Great Steppe. The purpose of the article is to consider the phenomenon of historical memory as a specific phenomenon of memorizing historical figures.
