This type of research is classroom action research (CAR). The purpose of this study was to determine whether giving a small test at the beginning of the learning process on the subject of implementing a healthy life can increase the activities and learning outcomes of Physical Education Orchestra for class XI students. IPS 1 SMA Negeri 1 Pasir Turtle. This classroom action research uses the model developed by Kemmis and Mc. Teggart, consists of two cycles, each cycle consists of planning (plan), action (action), observation (observation) and reflection (reflection). The results of the classroom action research showed that the application of the learning model by giving a small test at the beginning of the learning process in cycle 1 went quite smoothly, students were able to participate in KBM even though there were some students who were busy and paid less attention. Based on the results of observations of the teaching and learning process in cycle 1 there are still shortcomings, namely students have not been able to work optimally with their classmates. In addition, students also do not dare to express their opinions in front of friends and teachers. Student learning outcomes in cycle 1 are also still low even though there are already some students who get scores above 76. ABSTRAKJenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah pemberian tes kecil pada awal proses pembelajaran pada pokok bahasan menerapkan hidup sehat dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar Penjas Orkes siswa kelas XI. IPS 1 SMA Negeri 1 Pasir Penyu. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini menggunakan model yang dikembangkan oleh Kemmis dan Mc. Teggart, terdiri dari dua siklus, tiap siklus terdiri atas perencanaan (plan), tindakan (action), pengamatan (observation) dan perenungan (reflection). Hasil penelitian tindakan kelas bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran dengan pemberian tes kecil di awal proses pembelajaran pada siklus 1 berjalan cukup lancar, siswa pun dapat ikut berpartisipasi di dalam KBM meskipun ada beberapa siswa yang ramai dan kurang memperhatikan. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan terhadap proses belajar mengajar pada siklus 1 masih terdapat kekurangan yaitu siswa belum bisa bekerja sama secara optimal dengan teman sebangkunya. Selain itu, siswa juga belum berani untuk mengemukakan pendapatnya di depan teman-teman dan guru. Hasil belajar siswa pada siklus 1 juga masih rendah meskipun sudah ada beberapa siswa yang mendapatkan nilai di atas 76.
