The paper reveals the essence and main characteristics of the concept of repetition, in particular in teaching mathematics, its role and importance for optimizing the learning process. Various possibilities of performing repetition in teaching mathematics in the secondary school are presented. The emphasis is placed on revealing important links between the knowledge used in different ways to solve the suggested problems, the discovery of which is based on various ideas and methods for finding out solutions.
