Most papers in the field of private saving dealwith the analysis of private saving as a wholewithout special consideration of its individualcomponents. This paper is, therefore, focused onthe analysis of one of the components of privatesaving and its factors, and that is the householdsaving. The analysis was conducted onhousehold saving in Bosnia and Herzegovina(BiH), which, viewed as the sum of saving andtime deposits, recorded a cumulative growth of97% from the outbreak of the global financialcrisis until September 2016. The aim of thisresearch is to determine which factors favoredthe positive trends of household saving in BiH inthe period 2000q1-2016q3. As a methodologicaltool for achieving the research goal and testingthe defined hypothesis, the ARDL methodologywas used. By applying the ARDL methodology, the work hypothesis was confirmed.Macroeconomic factors have an impact onhousehold saving in BiH.
