The article discusses a set of issues related to ensuring the safety of the penal system objects on the basis of using stationary protective electroshock devices with a non-lethal nature of the impact. The subject of the article is the legal, organizational and technical aspects associated with the use of these devices in the security system of FPS objects. The purpose of the study is to define the conditions for the use of protective electroshock devices in the security system of objects, to identify problematic issues, to propose options for their solution. The methodological basis of the research was formed by the analysis, induction and systemic-structural method. As a result of the work carried out, the composition, functions and parameters of typical protective electroshock devices, which are means of warning and preventing unauthorized entry into restricted areas of protected objects, are summarized, directions of their application for equipping the protected areas are provided. The problematic issues of the legal grounds for the use of protective electroshock devices in the penal system are identified and specified. Options for improving the regulatory framework in the studied area of activity are proposed. Conclusions are made about the need to roll-out the experience of using protective electroshock devices in the security system of objects. The proposals will contribute to the prompt solution of certain problematic issues of ensuring the security of objects of the penal system.
