. The article discusses issues related to obtaining maternity capital in 2020. Problems of the availability of such social support for both complete families and families with one parent are analyzed, and the reasons why maternity capital is not provided to fathers are considered, problematic issues of registration and receipt of maternity capital by women serving sentences in prisons are identified.
