Laymen and occasionally experienced electrical engineers have reported unusual occurrences over the years which have been attributed to the mystical nature of electricity. Since electricity cannot be seen, heard, smelled or tasted but is very powerful, i.e. lightning, electrocution and computers, it has acquired a supernatural reputation. However, electricity is not supernatural but is governed by the laws of nature. This paper will illustrate three instances where damage was attributed to the mystical nature of electricity
