This article analyzes the main results of work devoted to the study of the use of geosynthetic material s in the reinforcement of the soil massif. The history of development and the field of application of geosynthetics is described, an overview of research in the field of reinforcement of bases with volumetric geogrids is made, and the main problems of the use of geosynthetics in construction are considered.
