Graphene oxide/polyvinyl alcohol/Fe3O4 (GPF) nanocomposites, which have been synthesized successfully in the previous study [6], have been investigated the removal of Congo Red (CR) from aqueous solution. The results show that, the adsorption process get equilibrium state after 80 min., the optimal amount of adsorbent is 0.01 g and this process is favorable at low temperature. The Congo red adsorption is better described by the Langmuir model (R2 = 0.991) than by the Freundlich model (R2 = 0.957). So, it can be presumed that Congo red was adsorbed in a single monolayer with the maximum adsorption capacity of 23.31 mg/g.
