The article presents the essential characteristics of the process of theformation and development of schoolchildren’s safety culture in emergencysituations, within the framework of the concept of person-oriented learningfrom a general pedagogical point of view. The role of person-orientedlearning technologies in the process of the formation and development ofschoolchildren’s safety culture in emergency situations has beensubstantiated. It has taken into account that the origin of the modern personoriented approach is based on humanistic psychology. The role of theteacher`s professional training is emphasized and its irreplaceable features(according to the author) are presented.
