We present the results of spectral and photometric monitoring of the classical Tauri star RY Tau, which has been carriedout since 2013. It is shown that the relative roles of accretion and wind varied smoothly over eight years, indicating a changeeither in the global magnetic eld of the star or in the mass accretion rate. We suppose it may be a tool to reveal a possiblecycle of magnetic activity at the early stages of stellar evolution.
