The aim of this paper is presented the archeogenalogy perspective, inspired on the Michel Foucault’s theoretical-philosophical proposal, as research tool at social psychology, more specific at the Psychosocial Attention field. For this, we perform theoretical-conceptual problematization about the main concepts that sustain this research perspective, namely: history, power, knowledge and truth. We also presented possible articulations with the Psychosocial Attention proposals. We aimed, thus, to strengthen the epistemological research with an important tool for the problematization of the absolute truths, the hegemonic discourses, the stigma and bias which composes the social imaginary about the mental health field and the psychological suffering
