This paper is about difficulties, challenges and dilemmas to lead scientific journal of Physical Education in Brazil. It makes a content analyses of the editorials of RBCE-“Brazilian Journal of Sport Sciences” (1979-2013). The results show up the evolution of RBCE, but also its difficulties, challenges and epistemological and political dilemmas the editors and Physical Education at all have been facing to conduce the scientific policy to conduce scientific police of the oldest Brazilian magazine of Physical Education
