In September 4th, 1949, Carlos Drummond de Andrade publishes, unsigned, the poem "Sonetilho", in the "Suplemento Literário Letras e Artes" from the newspaper  A Manhã from Rio de Janeiro. The poem was preceded by an introductory note – also unsigned – where the author proposes a contest for discovering the poem's author. This essay seeks to measure the implications and the reach of the connection among the author of the note, the author of the poem and the lack of signature in both cases regarding the journalistic and poetic production of Carlos Drummond de Andrade.
