This article is a result of experiences in School Supervision training - of pedagogy course at the State University of Santa Catarina – held in a municipal daycare in Florianópolis. The theme planning in childhood education stood out during the activities experienced in the field, specially due to its relevance to the teachers practice and for the general functioning of the institution. The performance of the school supervisor in these processes has shown to be crucial, once it is up to him to propose discussions about the school planning and to give conditions for it to be well developed by the educators
