We report the successful management of an emergency craniotomy performed for extradural hematoma (EDH) evacuation in a known case of von Willebrand disease (vWD). The case presented a challenge because vWD is associated with extensive bleeding, which was compounded by the emergency nature and type of the surgery. Extensive laboratory investigations could not be carried out, and preoperative optimization was limited. How to cite this article Baldwa N, Dave S, Gujjar P.
