Sala Mercè, in the Rambla de Barcelona, was a small playhouse which stood out for showing films among other spectacles. It was opened in 1904 by the painter Lluís Graner. The premises has gone down in history because it was designed by the architect Antoni Gaudí, but until now there were no known photographs of the unusual locale. Loggia has the satisfaction of displaying for the first time some unpublished photographs found by Antoni González, architect and scholar of Gaudí’s oeuvre
