Forecasting Financial Distress is always being an interesting area for the researchers due to its vital role for the organizations, stakeholders and the participants in general. Various signs of business failures are usually evident long before official bankruptcy of any form, be it re-organization or liquidation. The present aims to analyze the financial performance of General Insurance Corporation of India (GIC Re) using Alman’s Z score & Ohlson’s O-score model. It also tries to measure the significant difference between Z-scores and O-scores using independent sample t-test.
