Education is the life process by the continuous development and reconstruction of experiences. It involves the capacity of all those abilities which will enable individuals to control environment, adjust him in that environment and fulfill his all responsibilities. Twenty-first century education is about skills –sets of processes. Our students need to be able to adapt to contexts, meet challenges, and solve problems that are as yet unknown. Training is teaching or developing in oneself or other’s any skills and knowledge that relate to specific useful competencies. Training has specific goals of improving one’s capability, capacity, productivity and performance. Capacity is the ability or innate disposition of a person or entity to be self- sustained. Capacities are developed from inner due to external knowledge. Capacity building or capacity development is the process by which individuals and organizations obtain, improve, and retain the skills, knowledge, tools, equipment and other resources needed to do their jobs competently or to a greater capacity. The purpose of the present study is to find out the role of teacher’s in training and capacity building in Education. The dimensions of the study are importance of training in education, suggestive strategies of capacity building, and mind set of teachers for capacity development. The investigators have proposed to use qualitative method for the present study. The results will provide information about teacher’s views and different methods for capacity building.
