Green banking initiatives differs from the banking technology growth in India. It focus on promoting initiatives of public and private sector banks. The objectives of the present study is to understand the usage of green banking initiatives and comparative analyse of green banking initiatives in public and private sector banks. This research study found that there is no significant associated between initiatives taken by the public and private sector banks. The study also found private and public sector banks are less emphasized on core banking system and awareness of green banking initiatives. The study found that banking system for completely through the online based services. The main purpose of green banking initiatives is to reduce time and cost of the customers and involves the more activities of the banking initiatives.
