In the paper the specific of the philosophic cognition is defined, including its essential properties and its applicability to the study of giftedness issues. It is argued for the necessity of the philosophic cognition of giftedness. The directions of philosophic study are determined. The aspects of the philosophic comprehension of the nature of giftedness are spelled out.
