The article gives a review of reasons for developing and adopting the new ICT tools in teaching and scientific research in the field of Instrumentation and Measurement. It includes a description of the Internet- and multimedia-based educational model (e-learning). Then follows a description of the structure and tools of the modern scientific electronic book (e-book). The last part is oriented on Virtual Instruments, remote experiments and Virtual Laboratory.
