This article raises the question of argumentative technique in political discourse. The main objective of this contribution is to study the different discursive strategies used by French President Emmanuel MARCON to put into argument his speech delivered on March 12, 2020 on the measures to contain the Covid-19 pandemic. The results of this study show that political discourse is ostensibly argumentative and that it depends for its preparation on several discursive processes. Keywords: Political Discourse, Argumentative Technique, Discursive Strategies.
