The article deals with topical issues of gender inequality in the social and labor sphere, which are manifested in the prevalence of unpaid work of women burdened with family responsibilities. The data reflecting the volume of unpaid work of women in comparison with men in the context of countries of the world are presented. It is concluded that in the context of the development of the coronavirus pandemic, gender inequality will increase.
