This paper examines efforts to build an attitude of religious moderation through an inclusive church life through the meaning of Matthew 8:5-13. This study used an interpretive description method by interpreting the text of Matthew 8:5-13 to build an inclusive attitude as the basis for religious moderation. The result is a portrait of Jesus' ministry showing His universal love, and His mission is to serve all people including “others”. Jesus are  receiving and serving all people, including Gentiles. Therefore, as evidence of the church's faith in Jesus is to have an open attitude to accept and serve all people, including the “others”. This is the basis for the church's inclusive attitude in building an attitude of religious moderation in the context of a pluralistic Indonesia.
