Ca Bong (Spinibarbus denticulatus Oshima, 1926) is a high economic value fish species with tender flesh, well taste that is considered the top freshwater fish in the Northern Viet Nam. This study was conducted to improve the process of this fish species production for aquaculture development in Quang Binh province and contribute to conserve this indigenous fish species. The results showed that the first size of sexual maturity was 48,6 cm in lengh and 3,05 kg in weight on average for females; 41,7 cm and 2,76 kg for males. Spawning season started from March to early of June. The highest maturity rate was 100% in males and 90% in females in May. The suitable hormone to spawning fish was LRHa + DOM, effective dosage was (40 μg LRHa + 10mg DOM)/kg females live weight (LW) with spawning rate 100%; Actual fecundity of this species fluctuated from 3.797 to 4.491 eggs/kg LW females while fry productivity was from 2188 to 2938 fries/kg females LW. Effective time 15,1 - 20,2 hours; fertilization rate and hatching rate 76,6 - 84,6% and 74,1 - 81,1%, respectively, have been achieved.
