We made an attempt to evaluate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on theeconomy of Russian Federation, based on estimates of domestic demand decrease for each of the 98 industries (products) identified in the system of input-output tables. The analysis was carried out in the context of identifying two key factors of demand changes: lockdown measures that directly limit domestic demand, as well as global oil prices, leading to a reduction in export income of the economy and a subsequent reduction in demand for goods and services in the domestic market. The obtained quantitativeestimates are presented in the context of selected industries, sectors and the Russian economy as a whole. As a generalized conclusion, it justifies the assessment of the joint effect of lockdown and a decrease in oil exports at about 5% of GDP
