The article deals with the problem of security, including personal, which is of an intersectoral and interdisciplinary nature. The authors note that in the modern world this category is studied not only by legal science, which is not able to fully resolve the theoretical issue of legal security problems, but also by a set of other social sciences. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of law enforcement activities in the field of ensuring the security of those sentenced to imprisonment
