Statistical data confirm that the penetration of prohibited articles into places of deprivation of liberty is currently an urgent problem. The methods and ways of their transmission are constantly being improved, and the existing countermeasures are not able to reduce the motivation of offenders. The article examines the administrative-legal and socio-economic measures, which, according to the authors, can have an impact on the persons plotting offenses; it reveals the socio-political significance of ensuring security in correctional institutions.
